19-Year Old Charlotte Man Dies in Fatal Crash in Anderson County

A young man and his friend were on their way home from a concert when tragedy struck Monday afternoon. Sheldon Williams from Charlotte, North Carolina was on his way home from Atlanta when he got into an accident. He had attended a concert in Atlanta with a friend of his. His friend was in the car with him at the time of the crash.

Williams was driving on Interstate-85 Monday afternoon when he lost control of his car. His car left the road and he ended up crashing into a guardrail. After bouncing off the guardrail, he crashed into a metal pole.

The authorities are still not sure what caused Williams to lose control of his car. Sadly, the impact was too much for him and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger only suffered minor injuries. He was taken to AnMed Health Medical Center nearby to be treated for his injuries.

The make and model of Williams’ car has not been released. Neither has the name of the passenger. The investigation is ongoing. However, the police say they do not believe alcohol or drugs had anything to do with the crash.

Depending on what actually caused Williams to lose control of his car, the family may have a claim for damages. If there was something wrong with the car or if a third party caused the accident, they may be able to file a wrongful death claim. The passenger’s statement may give police a better understanding of exactly what happened.
